Review: Lush Tea Tree Toner

Lush Tea Tree Toner Water

Everything in Lush always smells so good you could eat it, and their array of fabulous bath bombs, soaps and other perfumed delights are wonderful, so it's easy to over-look some of their more ' functional' yet equally wonderful products!

I purchased the tea-tree toner on a whim, I needed a new toner and this caught my eye whilst perusing/ dreamily wandering around the shop in a perfumed haze! I absolutely loved it, so am now on bottle number two and think it will be a firm favourite for a long time now!

It comes in three different sizes. I bought the 250 g bottle and it was around £8. I was a little sceptical, thinking that if it was a spray I would get through it at lightning speed but I was completely wrong! I used it religiously every morning and night, plus extra times when reapplying make-up in the evenings and it lasted from April-June! You can either spray it on to your face and wipe away and stray bits of dirt/make-up like a normal toner, or just spritz it on for a refresh.

I have sensitive combination skin that is prone to break outs around my mouth and forehead, but very dry skin on my cheeks. This toner is absolutely perfect, I really feel that the tea-tree oil has helped with breakouts but it is not overly drying for the skin, which I find a lot of toners to be.

For me, the only real disadvantage to this product is that if you do want to just Spitz on for a refresh, it can dry quite tackily and has a strong aroma of tea-tree, so not great for applying over make-up or midway through the day!

Positives
- Great for breakout prone skin
- Great for sensitive skin, no nasties in this product!
-Not drying
-A little goes a long way

Negatives
- £8 can seem a lot for the amount of product, but it lasts for such a long time it's worth it and there is a smaller, cheaper size available.
- Although marketed as a dual product, I don't think it works so well as a refreshing mist.
